You can share one or more assets with non-users by quickly generating a quick share link. These links are ideal for ad-hoc shares of specific assets, when you don't want to worry about remembering what links you've created.

With quick share links, you can:

  • Instantly generate a public link to selected assets

  • Share assets without requiring someone to have a Dash account

  • Choose when the link should expire

  • Choose whether the recipients can download the assets or not

To create a quick share link

  1. Select one or more assets you want to share, either from the Browse page or from within the asset preview page

  2. Generate the share link by clicking the Share button

  3. Choose when the link should expire (in 1, 7 or 30 days, 1 year, a custom date or "Never")

  4. Choose whether the link should be view only or not. This controls whether viewers of the share page can download the assets or just view them.

  5. Either copy the link and send onwards yourself, or enter an email address to send the link straight away

When someone clicks on the link you have shared with them, they will see a page showing a preview of all the assets included in the share, with the option to either download all of them or select the ones they want to download (if you chose "view & download").
